Biografie:
Hans van Hoogdalem studeerde eind 60-er jaren in Utrecht aan de Nationale Schildersschool (NIMETO) en startte zijn carière in 1970 als ontwerper en decorschilder bij de Heineken Brouwerijen waarvoor hij op vele tentoonstellingen en evenementen werkte. Tijdens zijn laatste jaren bij Heineken ontwierp en decoreerde hij hoofdzakelijk pub en restaurant interieurs over heel de wereld. In 2000 verliet hij Holland en ging in Portugal wonen. Het schilderen van portretten, stillevens, dieren en andere onderwerpen werd een dagelijkse activiteit. Hans houdt van het "old school" realisme en zijn schilderijen waren op meerdere exposities en art fairs in Holland en Portugal te zien. Terwijl hij nog volop in het leven stond, is mijn vader op 05 mei 2022 plotseling overleden.
Biography:
Hans van Hoogdalem attended the Nationale Schildersschool (NIMETO) in Utrecht, Holland in the 60´s and started his career as a designer and scene painter for the Heineken brewery in 1970 were he worked at many trade shows and events. During his last years with Heineken he mainly designed and decorated pub and restaurant interiors all over the world. In 2000 he left Holland and started living in Portugal. Painting portraits, still-lives, animals and other subjects became a daily activity. Hans likes old school realism and his paintings have been shown at several exhibitions and art fairs in Holland and Portugal. Enjoying live, my father, suddenly passed away on the 5th of May 2022.

Hans van Hoogdalem frequentou a escola ''Nationale Schildersschool" (NIMETO) em Utrecht, Holanda nos anos 60 e iniciou sua carriera como designer e pintor da cervejaria Heineken em 1970. Para esta empresa, trabalhou em muitas feiras e eventos. Durante os últimos anos na Heineken, projetou e decorou principalmente interiores de bares e restaurantes em todo o mundo. Em 2000, ele deixou a Holanda e decidiu viver em Portugal. Pintar retratos, naturezas-mortas, animais e outros trabalhos tornou-se uma atividade diária. O artista gosta do realismo da velha escola a participou em várias exposiçoes e feiras de arte na Holanda e em Portugal. A 5 de maio, o meu pai, Hans van Hoogdalem, morreu subitamente.
